How does the Direct Castable (DC) material differ from the standard resin / ceramic resin material used for 3D printing at Fabforma?

The Direct Castable material is composed primarily of wax and when melted, gives a clean burnout with negligible ash residue. Patterns printed in DC material can be used to directly cast various kinds of metals and their alloys.
Standard resin / ceramic resin material is composed primarily of photopolymer resin and is not used for casting parts but used primarily for RTV molding / rubber molding. Post RTV molding, multiple wax patterns can be produced from the mold, which can then be used for casting metal parts. Standard Resin / Ceramic Resin can also be used for prototyping purposes to check the form and fit of the parts.
